Horseback Riding

Horseback riding is the main attraction at Beaver Ridge Lodge. Our trails wind through the wilderness timber and roam over the prairie grasslands. Whether you are experienced or a first time rider, Beaver Ridge Lodge has the perfect horse for you! Horses are matched with riders based upon a variety of qualities in order to ensure the best experience for both horse and rider. All of our horses are well trained and are the true heart and soul of Beaver Ridge.

We offer many different trails that are suited to all different types of horseback riders. For our new riders we offer easy, walk along trails to help you gain confidence in your skills. Riders with experience may enjoy the faster paced trail rides where we provide you with the opportunity to enjoy a bit more freedom. During the winter we also offer sleigh rides with our wonderful team, Zora and Xena.

We offer you your choice of experience, from one hour trail rides to overnight trips: you decide, it's your holiday! We customize every ride to suite your needs to ensure the best experience possible. Our overnight pack trips travel to the beautiful Cut Arm Lake or the Jack Fish Plains where you will enjoy the evenings around the campfire under the starry night sky. We also give you the chance to experience everyday ranch life with regular fence checking and cattle drives. If you are interested in one of our cattle drives, ask us for specific dates. In order to ensure the safety of both our horses and riders, natural western horsemanship techniques are taught to all riders.

We believe that every guest should have the opportunity to truly experience the ranch way of life. We will encourage you to help us catch your horse in the morning and learn how to saddle them. Not only does this provide a unique and fun learning opportunity, it also allows you to bond with your horse and create confidence and pride. And of course, our horses love the attention too!

ATV's and Snowmobiles

We have many trails for our all-terrain vehicle drivers to enjoy. Bring your own ATV and spend as many hours as you can exploring the outdoors.

Experience some of the best snow in the province! Beaver Ridge is located near the popular Route 66 which allows for easy access to great trails. While we do not currently have snowmobiles on site, bring your machine and tear up the trail!

Fishing

Some of the best kept secrets are kept in Saskatchewan, and fishing is no small secret! There are many lakes close to the Lodge that provide great opportunities to bring home "the big one!"

Relaxation

Of course, relaxation is the key to any vacation. At Beaver Ridge Lodge, relaxation is our specialty! Enjoy some quiet time on our balcony or take a walk along any one of our trails and photograph our remarkable wildlife: watch for deer, moose, beavers, birds and many other animals. Be as busy or as relaxed as you want to be, it is your holiday after all!
